Learn how to transform two canvas boards into a book. In addition, students will create a small sewn book which will be placed into an opening inside the larger book. Paint, collage and embellish a hard canvas board and stretched canvas board in a Paris theme with some of the coolest Seven Gypsies trinkets and papers! Students will finish this treasure with French text paper, upholstery tacks and printed twill for a truly vintage Paris theme! Students will leave with a completed project!
Class Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Supply List: Scissors, glue stick, ruler, pencil, SMALL book, awl, bone folder, white crayon, cutting mat, 4 oz. tube of black acrylic paint (Liquitex Basics or other cheap brand), two chip paint brushes (one/two inch cheap kind), one medium foam brush, |heat gun and extension cord, a washcloth in a zip lock baggie
Recommended: Japanese screw punch with a 1/8" tip All other supplies and written instructions will be provided by the instructor. Please bring all materials listed above.
