Mickie McCormic

From a printmaking background, Mickie taught photo silk screen for many years. Her degrees are in studio art and pre-Columbian fabrics. Mickie is a partner in a gallery in Ashland, Oregon, and does mixed media work, mostly on fabric, but also in papier mâché – puppets, art dolls, masks.

She teaches at the gallery and at the local university extension, as well as doing commission works (image transfer pieces on fabric with family photographs). Her book about how to use photo transfers in altered books will be published in a few weeks, and she is currently working on a series of booklets about various image transfer techniques for artists.
