"Dream More - Art Quilt " Stitched Art

This workshop is a twist on the usual layer and quilt style - We are going to design our own fabric! Learn to play and create your own background fabric with a wealth of techniques and textures. Then, with our new selections, we will slice and dice, mix and compose our efforts with commercial fabrics and trims, to create a unique fabric piece. An easy and interesting technique to create fabric beads will also be demonstrated, so embellishments for your quilt can take on a personal note. Each student will be on their way to completing a finished stitched art piece in class.

Lots of stuff to play with will be provided, fabrics, trims, embellishments etc. but each student may have some special pieces to bring and incorporate in the work.

Supply List :

a basic tool kit,
nice sharp fabric scissors
a small alphabet stamp set
fabric ink in black or favorite color
a few 1" foam brushes
any favorite photos you may want to transfer to fabric.
