Imagined Lives: A Journal in Black

This is a 6 hour workshop taught over two evenings, half on Thursday and half on Friday.

If you love the "grunge" look, this class is for you. Transform an existing book by aging the covers to look old and rusty. A creatively transformed old photo of school children will adorn the cover. Inside you will create excerpts from their lives. Black signatures with folded tabs on the sides, from which trinkets and other goodies can be attached will be sewn into the book. Come play and experiment with acrylic paints, copper and metal stamping, Altoid tins, Lumiere paints, spray webbing, copper wire, Diamond Glaze, old keys and more! This class will appeal to all levels. Students will leave with a completed project.

Ruler
small book
awl or paper piercer (must have)
scissors
small paper cutter
(2) glue sticks
white crayon
1/8" hole punch
white or silver gel pen
washcloth in a baggie or baby wipes
heat tool and extension cord  

Recommended :

metal stamps
small hammer and anvil.
