A Glass Act
Date: Friday, August 27, 2004
Time: 9 am – 4:30 pm
Instructors: Linda Blinn and Jennifer Bitto
Cost: $85
Whether your favorite look is funky or elegant, vintage or contemporary, this class offers endless possibilities for you to express your style combining exquisite chandelier crystals (they are beautiful before you even do anything!) and optical lenses The process involves experimenting with paint, foil, copper tape, transparencies, stamps, and embellishments. The product will be a work of art to wear and display.
And, if you didn't get to the French Flea Market this year, this class is the next best thing. We will share copies of our antique French ephemera (including 200 year old letters) to incorporate into a vintage holder for your glass masterpiece. When it is not hanging around your neck it becomes an accessory for your home! (And, since there are two of us, you will receive lots of attention). Linda Blinn has demonstrated this technique on the DIY network for their jewelry series, Everything Old is New Again.
A $10 materials fee is payable to instructor at class time.
Supply list: scissors, ½ inch paintbrush, needle nose pliers, neck chain or cord
Optional: pieces and parts of old jewelry to take apart and incorporate in your design), charms embellishments.
We supply ALL other materials.
