Washed Up and Worn: Recycled Rubber Jewelry Monday Evening $60
  Bridget Benton 6:30 - 9:30

Student Level: Beginner
Type of Workshop: Project

Some things are more fun to recycle than others, and bicycle inner tubes are at the top of my fun list! Learn to transform old inner tubes into a thin rubber fabric that can be ornamented, cut, and turned into amazing jewelry. When combined with hardware store finds like rubber washers, metal fender washers and nuts, the look becomes even bolder! We’ll learn how to make two different types of bracelets as well as earrings and delightful washer pendants. The rubber is amazingly versatile, and can be used to create looks that are clean and modern, or full of grungy punk-rock charm!
