The Ultimate Passion Book Friday $130
  Leighanna Light 9:00 - 4:30

Student Level: Beginner, Intermediate
Type of Workshop: Project

What are you most passionate about?  What makes your heart race, makes you forget to eat, brush your teeth, & makes time stand still?  No, not THAT!!!! This class is about exploring why we are here, what thrills & excites us, what make us feel the most happy & alive.

In this workshop, we will create an exquisite hard bound book filled with secret pockets, windows, mini books & envelopes, exploring what we are most passionate about.  Working with collage, paint & found objects, you will learn how to layer, transfer & age paper, as well as how to create luscious textures & patterns.

The book has a limited number of pages, making it possible to complete this project in class.  The construction of the book is quick & easy, no sewing or math is required.  The focus of the class will be on the content, rather than the construction of the book.  You will leave with a gorgeous 3-D book filled with images, text, embellishments, & ephemera. Students will take home a project.

Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
A kit that includes the book block & the paper that you will need to create this book
A variety of papers, fabrics & found objects for you to use in your project
Extra paint, ink, glue, wire, ephemera, all tools & a large supply of extra everything for you to use!

A NoTe ABouT SuPpliEs:
I bring plenty of images, ephemera & small found objects for everyone to use.  However, I believe that it is important to have some materials to work with that you are familiar with & comfortable using.  Therefore, I ask that you bring some images & ephemera that you love to work with.  Also, we usually end up having a community pile for everyone to use, so please bring extras to share.
