The ancient pottery art of Raku is elegantly beautiful in its random, organic flow of colors. We will be doing a painting technique that mimics Raku that can be applied to almost any surface. Next you will learn to cut, emboss and color metal. Other metal working skills such as debossing, freeform embossing, texturizing along with how to use wheels, texture plates and other tools will be covered as you create a unique mind mapping box. Your inner box will contain a personal statement. Because it is personal it can be anything you choose; a poem, random thoughts, goals and dreams or a summary of your state of mind. On the opposite side you will place images, ephemera and tokens representing you and your mind map.

Supply List:
Everything aside from personal items will be supplied.
Please create a 5” x 3 ½” personal statement.
Images, ephemera, memorabilia or tokens representing areas of your mind/thoughts.

Optional:
Gloves to protect hands from paint and small metal bits
