Goin’ Postal: Mixed Media Mail Art

Sunday Evening
$85

  Kelly Kilmer 6:30 - 9:30

Student Level: Beginner to Advanced!
Type of Workshop: Process and Project

I love receiving mail and I know I’m not the only one. I’m not talking about bills! I’m talking about layered postcards covered in rich, luscious slathers of acrylic and paper ephemera. I’ve done numerous workshops on mixed media postcards before, but this is a brand new one! I love the feel of making a totally unique piece of art, addressing it to a friend (or myself!) and dropping it in the mailbox. I guarantee you will too after this class!

Supplies provided by Instructor for student’s use in class:
An array of professional artist acrylics and mediums
Rubber stamps
Collage ephemera
And all necessary materials

Supply List:
-Small selection of Collage ephemera (handmade/decorative paper, copies of old photos, magazine clippings, journal pages, art book pages, cherished cut outs-anything that "speaks" to you. Please make color copies of anything you wish to use more then once)
-Scissors
-Cork backed metal ruler
-Black permanent ink pad (like Versafine or Memories)
-Roll of waxed paper
-Roll of paper towel
-Container to use as a water bucket
