Discover a quick, non-hazardous copper etching technique to make your own texture plates. Work with a new technique designed to eliminate the hazardous chemicals typically required for copper etching and the process is incredibly fast and easy. The plates will then be used to apply incredibly detailed patterns to silver or bronze metal clay. As a bonus, students will learn all about the new bronze metal clay. Choose either silver or *bronze clay to create charms or other jewelry pieces. Students will complete jewelry pieces and learn a new process

*Bronze clay requires an overnight firing; you must be present the following day to pick up your bronze charms.  

Kit Fee of $50 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
Metal clay (bronze or silver)
Basic metal clay supplies
Copper plates
Images
Patterns to use for etching  

Supply List:
Needle tool or pointed tool to pierce clay
X-acto knife
Small paint brush
Favorite cutters or metal clay tools if you have them
