This is a 6 hour workshop taught on Thursday and Friday evenings.

1 a: a crust or hard coating b: a growth or accumulation (as of habits, opinions, or customs)resembling a crust2: the act of encrusting : the state of being encrusted

a: OVERLAY a b: INLAY

Nature, in all its glory, deconstructs while it reconstructs through a series of processes spanning hundreds, thousands and millions of years. In this class we will replicate the effect of these processes with in a few hours. As no stone, fossil or artifact is identical to another each produced piece will be unique.

Kit Fee of $5 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
Base material
Compound
Gesso
Shared mesh tape
Texture items
A variety of paints

Supply List:
Spackle knife
Palette knife
Hammer
Utility knife, if convenient to bring

Optional:
Any item or rubber stamp suited as a fossil or ancient script
Large scale script, shell, leaf or primitive style rubber stamps
Gloves to protect hands from paint
