This class highlights innovative armature building and sculpting techniques that can be used with any medium from cloth to clay, and highlights design tools for creating figurative art. All students will have the opportunity to use a wide range of fusibles to create stunning, textural art cloth using an assortment of fibers from roving, silk waste products, angelina fibers, mosses, common househould items, art yarns, and ribbons. Instructor will discuss photo scanning and resizing tips. This is an intensive technique & project class, therefore some art dolls may require a little work after class.

Kit fee of $20 payable to instructor at class time includes: Class portfolio & Design guide, hand made armature & stand, 1 set of hand charms, preprinted art face on cloth, batting, wire, fusibles, parchment paper, artist paints & brushes, miscellaneous fibers, irons, and use of two sewing machines. Sewing machines are not required for this class. Instructor will have batik fabrics to share.

*1/4 yard cottong fabric (solid or batik) to wrap body
*1/2 yard batik to rip into pieces for the skirt
