ART Unraveled 2007

"Immerse Yourself in the Magic of Art..."
VOLUNTEER INFO

Q What do Volunteers do?
A Volunteers assist as Classroom Monitors which frees the instructors from using valuable class time for administrative purposes.

Q What exactly are the Classroom Monitors responsibilities?
A Classroom Monitors are responsible to pick up the class roster from our check in desk about 20 minutes prior to class time. The Monitor then verifies the names on the roster against the students in the room by asking each student to show his/her class ticket and then having the student sign the roster next to his/her printed name. The Monitor counts the number of students in the room and verifies that it's equal to the number of names listed on the roster. At the first class break, the Monitor brings the roster back to the check in desk.

Q Anything else ?
A Yes, should any problems arise with the classroom, the Monitor would report that to our staff either via cell phone or by coming to our check in desk.

Q How do I Volunteer?
A Just send an email to Linda at info@artunraveled.com listing the workshops you would be interested in Monitoring. You MUST be a registered student in a workshop to be eligible to act as the Monitor.

Q Sounds easy.
A We see it as a fun job too since the Monitor will have the opportunity to interact with all of the other students in the classroom too.

As a token of our appreciation for acting as Monitor, you will be able to register for workshops prior to the formal registration process for ART Unraveled 2008. You will be able to register early for the same number of workshops you monitored. So, say you wanted to register for 3 workshops in 2008 and monitored 1 workshop this August. You would write VOLUNTEER on your envelope and send 2 registration forms; one form for 1 class on which you will write VOLUNTEER and one form for the 2 other workshops. The VOLUNTEER envelopes will be opened first and the workshop listed on the VOLUNTEER form will be regsitered; the envelope with the second form will then go back into the stack to be randomly selected for registration based upon the postmark date.
