Printmaking Techniques for Mixed Media $120

This is mostly a process workshop with an optional final project. Learn fun and simple printmaking techniques, including screen printing, collagraph and monoprint. These techniques do not require a press or expensive papers and will produce several colorful prints which you will than be able to use in your future mixed media, book arts and collage. In this class you will have the option to create an accordion book with your choice of prints. Be ready to fall in love with this addictive creative art form!

Kit fee of $10 payable to instructor at class time includes: mat boards, plexiglass, colored inks, tag paper, additional copy paper.

Supply List:
3 colors of water based screen printing ink (8 oz jars).
4" rubber brayer
2-3 colors of water based block printing ink in small tubes
Strathmore colored 65 lb. paper block 10"x14" (with different colors of paper)
multi color copy/computer 8.5x11" paper
freezer paper or contact paper (5' app.)
xacto knife with extra blade
fine scissors for paper
2 big glue sticks
a few plastic knives or spoons
masking tape
duct tape
disposable gloves
apron
paper towels

Optional:
10"x14" screen printing frame with stretched mash
9" squeegee
