Polaroid Image Transfers $80

We will be doing Polaroid Image Transfers from our own self made transparencies, manipulated photos, and collages. We will use the Daylab CopySystem, which acts as a camera, projecting the image unto Polaroid Film. The images will be transferred onto watercolor papers, silk or wood. These machines allow you to be more spontaneous. This is collage without glue! The Polaroid Image Transfer gives you an ethereal, dreamy, vintage type look. We will hand tint our images with pencils and liquid dyes. You will fall in love with this magical and creative process and at the end of the day have images to admire, ready to frame or use in a collage, altered book or journal. The transfer will be smaller than the original image, approximately 3.25”x 4.25”. This process does not hurt your original image. You will have an opportunity to make 4-6 images. Additional film will be available to buy. Class size is limited to 12 students to enable individual support and for shared use of the 2 Daylab CopySystems..

Supply Fee of $10.00 payable to instructor at class time includes: Notebook with instructions, tips and resources, receptor materials (paper, silk, and wood), film, supplies to make transparencies, hand coloring materials, rubber gloves, and extra images to share.

Supply List:
4-8 images to use for the transfer process
Scissors
Black fine point sharpie

This process will not damage your original image. Images will be smaller in the final product so keep that in mind when choosing photos. Some cropping will occur in photos that are 4x6. Images should be clear with good detail. Email me if you have questions about your image choice.
