Friendship Journal - WORKSHOP FILLED -

Remember joy and cherish laughter is the theme of this Friendship Journal. This special journal is 8 x 8 in size and features unique covers made of vintage rusted tin tiles. The book is a hinge structure which allows the book to open and lay flat. Among several clever features, this book utilizes chicken wire, screws, hex nuts and washers to fashion an eye-catching cover. In addition, a funky metal screen is painted, embellished and attached to the inside cover.   Four signatures of quality Bristol multi-media paper are sewn into the spine and secured to the book with the help of additional hex nuts which makes for an interesting combination. Each signature section features a painted tab with dymo word which peeks out from the outer edge of the book. Each reads...REMEMBER, JOY, CHERISH, LAUGHTER. The finished journal is the perfect place to hold cherished memories, mementos and thoughts about friendship. Students will complete the project.  

Supply List:
Bone folder
oil pastels (inexpensive kind)
Scissors
Glue Stick
1 small foam brush
cutting mat
phillips head screw driver
one stipple brush
baby wipes or wash cloth in a bag
50 medium binder clips - These are a must have to complete this class. If you have smaller clips, bring more; if you bring bigger clips, bring less. All other materials necessary to complete the project are provided by the instructor.
