Nature, in all its glory, deconstructs while it reconstructs through a series of processes spanning hundreds, thousands and millions of years. In this class we will replicate the effect of these processes with in a few hours. As no stone, fossil or artifact is identical to another each produced piece will be unique.

You will learn a variety of techniques using common hardware store and household items combined with some basic art materials. Incorporate these techniques into collages, books, and wall art for a unique archaeological or geologic feel.

Supply List:
Spackle knife
palette knife
Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Ivory and Black acrylic paints
1” and larger inexpensive paintbrushes
white gesso

Optional:
Any item or rubber stamp suited to making a stamped fossil or ancient script design.
