Cindy is a mixed media artist residing in Phoenix, Arizona. She’s had a passion to create from a very early age. Coming from a large, economically challenged household, she lacked funds for her art projects. She’d hike to the local dump and salvage recycled parts and pieces for her art. Her father would permit her to use his model airplane brushes and house paints to begin her creative journey. Once she was able to purchase a true artist’s brush, she never stopped painting! She’s a self taught artist who has fused her love of paint and recycling into a way of life. Shortly after her husband’s death, she found she was able to channel her grief into her art. To this day she uses her creativity as a form of meditation. She presently shows her work at Red Dog Gallery in the funky historic First Friday art district of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. She has taught painting, drawing and varied mixed media techniques throughout her career at national seminars, art retreats, local shops, city facilities, colleges, art centers and for individual fulfillment.
