Are you in love with all things boho? Are you a cowboy boot wearin’ skirt twirler? Even if you’re a jeans only gal, this bracelet is the perfect way to meld casual and chic into one beautiful, wearable piece. In this class, you’ll be working with real Indian head/buffalo nickels; turning them into a stylish concho bracelet. I’ll show you how to prepare the nickels, solder the backs to create a slide style concho, and then assemble them onto a piece of leather. We’ll cover several techniques in class, including silver soldering, enviro-friendly pickle and polishing. We’ll be talking about how to solder safely as well as safe use of power tools for polishing. I’ll bring all the materials you need, including the nickels and various colors of leather (including some metallic…yep!)
