Type of Workshop: Process and Project

BE ON THE LOOKOUT! A GROUP OF HARD BOILED BADDIES HAS ESCAPED YOLKTOWN PRISON!

It’s time to give eggs a bad name. In this class we are going to transform those boring plastic Easter eggs into something a bit more nefarious. You’ll name your hard shelled villain (complete with aliases and criminal records) and then create your character using a variety of techniques including painting, sculpting and a bit of assemblage. Ready to roll? Eggcellent! Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time…don’t do it.

Students should bring:

  1. Stuff:
    1. Plastic eggs
    2. Plastic or glass doll eyes. You can raid the second hand shops for old dolls to de-eye. I’ll also be bringing a bunch of small glass eyes for sale.
  2. Adveshives:
    1. Aves Apoxy Clay (1/4lb (or more) Here’s a link if you have trouble finding it.
  3. Paints (either fluid or heavy body):
    1. Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold
    2. Black (Mars or Carbon)
    3. Ultramarine Blue
    4. Titanium White
    5. Pthalo Green (blue shade)
    6. Dioxazine Purple
    7. Quinacridone Crimson
  4. Optional Paint:
    1. A variety of acrylic paint colors to play with
  5. Optional items:
    1. Heat gun
