    Create fabulous layered jewelry using contrasting sheet metal and wire to create various elements. Explore the use of the disc cutter and dapping blocks. Texture and form the metal. Layer contrasting metals using various cold connections. Included are attachments with headpins, wire arches & riveting. Combine the elements to culminate in great earrings or pendants!

    Kit Fee of $50 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

  • 24 gauge sheet metal, Bronze & copper Sheet metal 3” x 3” each
  • 1 ft 18 G copper for texturing metal
  • 1 ft 16 g copper for spirals
  • 6 18 g Fine silver headpins
  • 10 20 gauge headpins
  • 1 ft 18 G wire for spirals and arches
  • 6” 20 G for 1 pair of earwires or ear wires
  • 1 ft 20 Gauge for Pagoda wrap (6”each side)
  • 3” 12 G Copper wire for Pagodas
  • 4 jumprings 14 Gauge 6 MM
  • Assorted metal beads for riveting (14 gauge hole)

    Instructor provides for student's shared use in class: an assortment of Fretz texturing hammers, 1.25 & 1.80 MM hole punch, Dapping Block & Punches, Utility hammers.

    Tools to bring:

  • Round, chain and flat nose pliers, flush cutters,
  • Chasing hammer, pounding block & pad,
  • utility hammer
  • Emery Board 180/100 grit
  • polishing cloth
  • Fine tip sharpie
  • paper scissors
  • design stamps, tiny dapping punch or center punch
  • texturing hammers
  • metal shears
  • Paper towels (a few)
  • hole punches 1.80 mm, 1.25 mm
  • C-thru ruler & Tape measure
