Inspired by the ever changing colors and shapes of the sky and rocks of the American West, this bracelet is a rustic beauty and a favorite of mine. This class is absolutely filled with techniques designed to build your skills in making metal jewelry. I’ll guide you through the process, including cutting, sawing, filing and creating a bezel to fit your choice of stone. I’ll show you my method of soldering…the easy way…as well as a way to achieve a brilliant, colorful patina on the focal/clasp. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that you’ll love to wear but the skills you’ll learn are versatile enough to use in many other areas of your work.

I’ll have some cabochons available for sale in class…some turquoise, mostly red creek jasper in varying shades of brown, red, green, orange, gold and black (gorgeous!) Our focus, in class, will be on learning the many techniques to complete a finished focal. Students will continue work on the beaded portion of the bracelet as time allows so feel free to bring beads. Please email me with questions: mocknet@sbcglobal.net
