Join Susan Lenart Kazmer and Linda McNulty in a first time hands-on two day workshop where you will learn all aspects in building figuratively to complete an original, wearable, figurative, mixed-media piece. Linda McNulty is a master in wax and jewelry and is a carver for Ice resin, Art Mechanic and Industrial Chic . Susan Lenart Kazmer is a master of attachments.
This is a project/process workshop. On the first day, students will follow instructions and be guided step by step to sculpt and cast head, feet, legs, hands and arms. Susan introduces ICE Resin- the processes, experimentation and manipulation involved in pre-casting and casting. All student work is set to cure overnight.
On the second day Susan works with students to connect, assemble and finish a figure by using components, ribbons, paper, metal, found objects to create removable, wearable jewelry.
Kit fee of $52 payable to instuctor at class time includes: bonze or nickel metal sheet, bronze wire, 8 oz ice resin, .75 lbs. Super Sculpey, 1 lb. Art Mechanic Modeling Putty, one wooden modeling tool, handouts.
