Explore folding sheet metal to create 3 dimensional texture. Using chasing tools, add tiny textures to create varying patterns & dimension in the metal. Add messages or designs with design & alphabet stamps. Rivet headpins or spirals to add texture and contrast. Cut windows in the back, stuff with an assortment of cool, shiny beads, shells and micro beads. Frame to complete charms or pendants.

Kit Fee of $50 payable to Instructor at class time includes: sheet metals, silver headpins, spacers, mica, microbeads, glass glitter, small beads, beads, sterling wire, wire

Students not purchasing kit MUST bring the following items to class:

  • 30 Gauge sheet metal 3” x 3”
  • 3’ x 3’ 24 Gauge sheet metal
  • Fine silver headpins 18 & 14 Gauge
  • Spacers that fit snugly onto 18, 16 or 14 Gauge wire
  • Mica
  • Stuffing; microbeads, glass glitter, small shells, beads
  • Headpins 14 & 18 Gauge fine silver for riveting
  • Sterling Wire for spiral rivets 18 G 1 ft
  • 12 Gauge wire for bail 6“

Tools all students must bring:

  • Chasing hammer
  • flat nose pliers
  • metal shears
  • bench block
  • utility hammer
  • 1.80 mm holepunch
  • 1.25 mm holepunch
  • horn anvil
  • riveting hammer
  • sharpie

Instructor will bring the following for student's use during workshop: Chasing tools, alphabet stamps , design stamps, 1/8” holepunch, sand bag, little disc cutter
