Etched and Layered Cuffs
Wednesday $135 Diane Cook 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Student Level: Beginner and Intermediate
Type of Workshop: Process and Project
I recently shared two of my etched & layered cuffs in the summer issue of Belle Armoire Magazine, but since then I have designed more than I can count.
You will begin this class by using your stamping skills on blank brass cuffs. Then, once the cuffs have been etched, the layering begins. As little or as much as you like, this is the time to stretch your creative wings, adding layer upon layer of elements to your heart’s desire. You will be using brass filigree, vintage jewelry such as rhinestone ear bobs, dress clips and brooches as well as vintage glass or mother of pearl buttons. And, don’t forget vintage lace, ribbon or netting or perhaps stamped muslin.
You will be able to etch at least two cuffs, more if time permits. The skills you learn will easily transfer for use in future projects. The focus of this class is cuffs, but once you begin, you will see that cuffs are just the beginning.
Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
