“Slumping Beauty” Bead

Defy the flat and angular…slump into your resting place and awake to find a beautiful bead to adorn your days. In this class, we’ll use wire armatures to create one-of-a-kind shapes and then texture silver clay to slump over our unique forms. Discussion and demonstrations will cover forming and finishing, along with tips and techniques for working successfully with 3-dimensional free-form shapes.(Note: due to the complexity of this project, the total class time needs to be devoted to bead formation; pieces will be fired in the evening, immediately after class, and available for pick up the following morning.)
Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes: metal clay tools, copper wire, polishing papers
Supplies Provided by Instructor: additional metal clay tools, as necessary, armatures, texture stamps and plates, miscellaneous workshop supplies and consumables, firing and finishing supplies

40 grams of Art Clay Silver Low Fire Slow Dry clay*
5 grams of Art Clay Low Fire Silver Syringe w/green tip*
round tip color shaper (any color, any size)
