Type of Workshop: Project - Students will take home their finished project

 

This is a 6 hour workshop taught in 2 evening sessions.

In this hands-on workshop, students will create beautiful silver clay book covers, embellished with silver clay adornments and filled with interesting and unique pages of paper or fabric. Class discussions include information for successfully working with metal clay, as well as lots of tips, tricks, and techniques for successfully shaping, forming, repairing, and finishing metal clay pieces.

Kit Fee of $20
payable to Instructor at class time includes: metal clay tools, wire, jump rings, graph mat, polishing papers

Supplies Provided by Teacher: use of additional metal clay tools, as necessary, rubber stamps, texture plates, moulds, miscellaneous workshop supplies and consumables, firing and finishing supplies

20 grams of Art Clay Silver Slow Dry clay*
metal or plastic palette knife
craft knife
paint brush (#1 or #2)
round nose pliers
chain nose pliers
