Pandora™ Style Birth Flower And Birthstone Beads

Did you know that there are birth flowers as well as birthstones? In this class you will make your own Pandora™ style beads using flower canes, Swarovski crystals and specially designed “bead cores” for uniquely personalized pieces that not only fit on the Pandora™ bracelets, but also twist/screw on and off just like the originals. These beads also fit the Chamilia™ and Troll™ systems. Students will receive 4 fine silver bead cores in two sizes and a piece of flower cane for each birth month, as well as the Swarovski equivalent of their or loved ones birthstones. Want to make a floral bead that matches your wedding bouquet? You could choose to do that as well! While flower caning will NOT be taught in this 3 hour class, (you will use instructor’s canes) students will be given tips and tricks for successful caning, cutting, rolling in, refining, finishing and designing caned pieces, and leave with a pair of Pandora™ style beads that are as personal and unique as their creator!
Students will complete 2 Pandora™ Style beads…one covered in birth flowers and one with Swarovski hotfix crystals in birthstone equivalent colors.
Optional Kit Fee of $38 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Kit containing 12 small flower canes that correspond to each of the birth flowers (approximately 1” x ¼” each, will make several beads each) These canes cannot be purchased anywhere else, and are specially made by the instructor for the birth flower series, 1 leaf cane, small accent flower cane, 2 Fine Silver (99.9%) threaded bead cores from MCF, Birth Flower guide sheet, polymer clay, Swarovski Hot-fix Crystals in birthstone equivalent colors, custom templates, cornstarch, glaze, adhesive material, blade, sanding supplies, baby wipes, index cards, skewers, and USE OF instructor’s tools and pasta machines. Materials Fee of $8 payable to Instructor at class time for students choosing not to purchase the inclusive kit for supplies produced and provided by the instructor (such as templates, forms, and several color and b&w handouts.) This Materials Fee is already included in the kit fee for those students who are purchasing the kit.
