Never Been Plain Jane: Soldered Frozen Charlotte Pendant & Necklace

Saturday $135
  Cynthia Anderson 9:00 - 4:30

Student Level: All
Type of Workshop: Project oriented

In this workshop you will learn several valuable soldering techniques to help you create smoothly soldered pieces without all the grief. We will be soldering a frozen charlotte porcelain doll to a fancy metal piece background which we will also have soldered to match. Then we will attach soldered bubble charms that convey a message about our doll. Joining these charms to our necklace with wire wrapping is another technique students can expect to learn. We will also add ‘bling’….the irresistible!!!…by cutting up vintage rhinestone bracelets and necklaces, giving them new life as accessories for our frozen Charlotte. Finally, we will adhere a message or photo to the chandelier dangle at the bottom of our necklace. An easy and lovely hammered silver clasp will finish off the piece. Students should take home a finished necklace!

Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Solder, Copper tape, Flux, Flux brush, Metal piece to attach doll to,Frozen Charlotte,Chandelier dangle piece,Rhondonelle charms, small silver beads, pebbles to make soldered charms from.
