Mirror Image Millefiori Pendants

Friday 9:00 - 4:30 $125
  Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg

Student Level: Intermediate or Advanced
Type of Workshop: Process and Project

In this class, students will learn to make one petal and one leaf cane, tweak and recombine them into several different cane parts and combine them to make beautiful mirror-image pendants using Swarovski hot fix crystals. This class is geared toward the intermediate clayer who is familiar with making skinner blends but who may not have had the opportunity to create canes yet. Lynne Ann will show students how to work with the canes to create pieces that are smooth to the touch and nicely finished without having to sand them, how to cut even slices, tips on making durable pieces with structural integrity and work on composition and color combinations. Students will leave the class with a finished mirror image pendant and several pieces of canes that can be used to create coordinating beads, earrings, pins or other pieces in the future

*Optional Kit Fee of $22 payable to Instructor at class time includes: “mud” clay, eyelet, pinch bail, cornstarch, small roller, Swarovski hot fix crystals, 2 oz polymer clay, texture sheet, small tile to bake on, baby wipes, deli wrap, index cards, additional cane pieces in different colors to add interest to their pieces, mirror tile

Materials Fee of $8 payable to Instructor at class time for students choosing not to purchase the inclusive kit for supplies produced and provided by the instructor (such as templates, forms, and several color and b&w handouts.)  This Materials Fee is already included in the kit fee for those students who are purchasing the kit.

*Those who register for the workshop can elect not to purchase the optional kit from instructor and instead will receive a detailed list of items necessary for the workshop. Please note on your Registration form if you wish to receive the detailed list.
