Type of Workshop: Project with an emphasis on working with foils and resin
Discover methods for working with resin, foils and polymer clay that not only offer near-instant gratification, but ease of use in creating eye-fooling “dichroic” effects. Learn how texture and the use of additional pigments can help to make finished faux dichro pop! A demonstration of how to add embedded crystal stones will be shown in this class that includes the use of bezel settings.
Students will learn how to apply Mylar foils to polymer, enhance through various textures and backfill settings with UV resin to create finished work that looks like dichroic glass. (Note setting may differ from those shown in photos)
Kit Fee of $18 payable to Instructor includes: resin, setting, foils, clay, and stones to add optionally after class.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: texturing tools, toothpicks, baby wipes, UV cure lamps, cure trays, sample crystals for use following class.
Supply List: Nothing to bring, neck cords/chains will be available for optional purchase following class.
