Crocheted Silver Metal Clay Cuff Bracelet

Crochet fine silver wire to create a delicate cuff bracelet which will be embellished with fine silver clay charms and beads. This class teaches you the basics of metal clay; how to add textures and layers to create a gallery style piece. Students will complete jewelry pieces and learn a new process.

18 gr. PMC +(Metal Clay Supply)
15 yards .999 fine silver 28 gauge wire (certain jewelry suppliers: Rio Grande is one source)
3 yards 28 gauge practice wire (inexpensive base metal wire from any craft store or jewelry supplier)
size 0 or 00 STEEL crochet hook (joanns or yarn, sewing stores)
6 or 7 loops slide tube clasp or other vertical slide clasp (sterling silver-any bead or jewelry making supplier that has tube clasps)

Teflon sheet or other work surface (sherrihaab-shop.com)
10 playing cards (walmart-or grocery store)
Olive oil or badger balm (grocery store, price varies)
Cup for water
Nail File (walmart or grocery store)
1 each of Sanding papers (3M polishing papers) 400, 600 and 1200 grit (Rio Grande #337-308)
1 Pro polishing Pad (Rio Grande pkg of 50 code #337-020)
Wet Wipes (walmart, or grocery store, price varies)
Burnishing tool if you have one (I will have a few to borrow)Supply List:
