Clock Stopping Pendants

In this class students will learn how to use watch faces to create a pendant that makes a “timely” statement. Using found objects and various components, each student will create a unique one of a kind pendant using watch faces as the primary component.

Student will learn how to use several different cold connections techniques to assemble ephemera as well as learn how to use letter stamps to personalize if desired. If time permits, students will be taught to make an iron binding wire chain to attach to the pendant.

Kit fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class includes a vintage watch face, a selection of found objects, ephemera, copper wire, rivets, eyelets, micro screws, copper sheet, sterling rivets, copper rivets, sanding sponges, 0000 steel wool, etc.

The instructor will provide all tools necessary for students to share in this class, students are welcome to bring their own tools as well. Tools that we will be using include, but are not limited to; anvils, hammers, letter stamps, texture stamps, texture hammers, jewelers saws, 3/0 blades, metal sheers, drill press, hand punch, round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, spring loaded punch and files.
