Riki is fulfilling her dream by having the freedom, since retirement, to do what she loves most. That includes designing and making jewelry, and continuing to learn and share. She retired from the hectic world in advertising as an executive and manager, some twelve years ago. Since then, she has followed her passion to travel throughout the world to learn jewelry techniques, and hone her skills in her life’s work. She is a certified Precious Metal Clay instructor recognized by the PMC Guild. She began teaching jewelry workshops in 2009, finding out how much fun it was to be back in the classroom environment, after many years as a sales manager. Her first publication will appear in the December 1 st edition of Belle Armoire Jewelry as a technique based article showing how to make charm necklaces utilizing found objects. You can find her work at various stores in Washington State and California, since she winters in sunny San Luis Obispo and summers in the beautiful San Juan Islands, of the Pacific Northwest.
