A patron saint traditionally has been regarded as the "heavenly advocate of a nation, place, craft, activity, clan, family or person". In this class students will create their own tiny patron saints on a 4.75 x 3.25 inch Gothic arch-shaped substrate that gives it a Medieval look. Students will learn a variety of techniques including image transfers on clay, stamping and embedding into clay, using molds, gold leaf, painting and collage techniques. Students will leave class with a pair of patron saints inscribed with positive affirmations that are sure to bring good luck! Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):
