Have you ever sat and wondered how to include you precious photos into your journal without gluing the original into the book? Or how to create translucent textures for your collage? In this workshop, you will learn nearly a dozen different techniques to transfer images directly into your own sample book!

We will focus on learning different transfer techniques which will include glues & mediums, solvents, and heat. Some are fast and give instant gratification while others have multiple steps which will require drying time. All the techniques are meant to spark your creativity, give you the confidence to use transfers in your own work, and learn new transfer processes you haven't tried yet.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $20.00 includes:
  • Cups for water
  • Paper towels
  • Paint pallet
  • Wax Paper
  • Additional supplies for specific techniques
  • Sampler Booklet
  • Workshop Instruction Booklet

Student should bring:

  • bone folder
  • scissors
  • brayer
  • old credit or gift card to scrap paint
  • small craft paint brush (1/2" or 1")
  • glue stick
  • small assortment of acrylic paints - variety of light and medium toned colors
  • magazine images
  • laser printer prints (if you do not have a laser printer have your image printed at a Copy Center as a color copy) of personal photos - 4" x 4" and smaller, if there is text the image needs to be printed in reverse
  • Inkjet printer prints of personal photos - 4" x 4" and smaller, if there is text the image needs to be printed in reverse
