Watercolor can be so freeing and fun but we have to know how to get to that point. So many times I hear people say that watercolor is hard to control and that is so true! But we can use that to our advantage and learn how those attributes of watercolor can be manipulated. Through a series of exercises that I have developed, learned, and swiped from other artists and instructors, I will guide you through as you experience the true joy of watercolor. You will be amazed at how much you learn about controlling watercolor and letting the medium behave as it must. You will have so much fun and leave with a renewed spirit of the joy of watercolor. Each student will finish at least one painting in this class, possibly more.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • Optional $50.00 (You will be able to take these materials home with you with the exception of some of the brushes...they are so expensive) includes:
  • 2 (22 x 30) sheets of 140 lb. watercolor paper, cut in 1/2
  • Professional grade watercolor paints (all the primaries and any other colors you can't live without)
  • Palette
  • Round brushes sizes 8, 10, 12
  • Water container
  • Pencil
  • Felt tip pen
  • PLEASE email Linda at Jlranch1@yahoo.com if you will purchase the kit at class time. She needs at least 3 weeks advance notice to obtain your kit prior to the workshop.

Student should bring:
