Forever in search of the perfect journal, I believe this is the closest I have ever come. Easy to construct, very sturdy and opens flat to work in. There's also lots of room to include added fold out pages and embellishments. This journal measures 7" X 9 1/2", is simple in materials, design and construction. Once you learn the methods it will surely become one of your favorite journal constructions. Most everything you'll need to build this uniquely finished journal is supplied in your accompanying kit including materials for making and covering the book structure. You only need to bring the supplies listed! You'll leave this workshop with a fully bound journal.

• 8 sheets of 9" X 12" Strathmore Mixed Media paper for pages
• Precut and predrilled wood pieces for book covers and spine
• Waxed book binding linen
• Various foreign language text pages
• Tyvek
• Paper mache paste
• Tacky glue
• Use of additional materials

Student should bring:

• 1" natural bristle utility brush (as found at home improvement stores)
• Small container of off-white craft paint, Gesso (NOT Liquitex brand) or white house hold primer
• Pencil
• Cork-backed metal ruler
• Scissors
• Elmer's School Glue
