You love textures, right, and you love layers. This class will give you the knowledge and inspiration to bring the two together. You will create layers with transparent depth, and texture that you can jump right into. I use two texture techniques; one is implied and the other is applied. You will fast track the depth using these two methods. Then you can accentuate the layers with painless transfers. We will build the textures with added components made from some unique materials. You'll be amazed at where your new art supply sources will come from. This class will teach you some fun kitchen chemistry, steps to building a lasting painting and transparent transfer techniques, along with acrylic skins and transparent collage papers. You will master the use of some of the acrylic gels, pastes and mediums, and you will get the inside tips on working with stencils. You will leave with not only some beautiful paintings, but the knowledge of how to use acrylic mediums to create depth, textures, transparency and how to extend your paint. You will save a ton of money learning how to paint the thin way.

A few of your favorite colors of fluid acrylic paint ( I recommend purchasing just a few good quality fluid paints from Golden
or Liquitex rather than a bunch of inexpensive paints, it will make a difference)
A plastic trowel palette knife
Soft nylon brush-flat 1/2" is a good size
Scissors
Paper towels
Foam plates for palettes

Optional:
Heat gun if you want your own
