Yes! You will leave this class with a unique 16 x 20 ottoman that you have created yourself. We will spend the first class time painting your ottoman base and designing the fabric that we will use as the starting point of your patchwork top. Are you flying home and afraid this won’t fit in your suitcase? We will provide you a box for shipping your finished piece!!

Materials Fee: $30 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
Handmade wood ottoman base ready for painting and decorating
Batting covered foam for the ottoman top
Base Fabric to begin your top
Wash Away Tape
Some paints and trims
Box to ship your ottoman home
and use of Supplies provided by Instructor:
Stencils and sponges
Staples and liquid nails
Misc. Paints
Upholstery protector spray

Student Should Bring:
Sewing machine
Scissors
Pins
Extension cord
1/2 yard each of four complimentary batiks or marbled fabrics that are very subtle. You want your artwork to be what stands out when we construct the ottoman top.
1 8 oz color of acrylic paint for your ottoman base to match your fabric choices (small sample from Lowes or Home Depot works great )
3 small 2 oz bottles of acrylic paint to match your batiks
Flat trims, braids, laces and or buttons to incorporate in your ottoman top
Thread to match your fabrics

Optional:
Ott lite - hotel meeting rooms are not generally lighted to accommodate art/sewing classes
