It's a Wrap 6:30 - 9:30 Monday Lorri Scott $75
Student Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Type of Workshop: Project
Prerequisite: None
Learn basic nuno felting while creating a soft and sumptuous wrist wrap. Nuno felting, also known as laminate felting, is a process of applying wool fibers to a sheer silk backing with moisture, heat, and friction. We will use natural fabrics, silks, and lace to create the base wrap. After we have felted the wraps and they dry, we will embellish them with bits of lace, perhaps a vintage pin, vintage buttons, or beads. A silk cord or ribbon will be attached to wrap around the wrist. After creating the natural colored wrap there will be time to create more and I will offer a variety of color choices.
I will also show you how to create small flowers from silk/lace/ribbon to embellish your wrap with.
