Prerequisite: Must have working knowledge of sewing machine and basic sewing skills

Back by popular demand! Fun and Quirky Fabric  journal is a fun usable piece of art in itself. It is a great place to store and journal all those bits and pieces of memories that would otherwise hit the garbage!  We will start  with the basic journal pattern that wraps your art pages inside and the pockets, closure and embellishments will all be up to your  own design. This journal is able to expand as you  journal and add your pieces of treasures. Basic sewing and working knowledge of your machine is required. 

Materials Fee: $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
Peltex,
Batting
Paper for  signatures
Closing buttons and elastic band
and the use of Supplies provided by Instructor:
Waxed linen
Random pieces of batiks and trims 

Student Should Bring:
Sewing Machine and extension cord
Needle
Scissors
Seam ripper
Basic sewing supplies
1/2 yard batik  or quilting fabric for inside journal
1/2 yard batik or quilting fabric for outside journal
5 fat quarters of batiks or quilting fabrics for embellishments  and or pockets
Threads to match ( I love variegated threads that match my batiks
Various trims  to match

Optional:
Ott lite - hotel meeting rooms are not generally lighted to accommodate art/sewing classes; extension cord for lite if it's not battery operated
