Prerequisite: Should be able to run laptop, open Photoshop (or PSE), open, save and close files in Photoshop.

Every artist and crafts person needs either a business card or a post card. Sometimes having both is even better. Learn how to design and layout your custom business card in either Photoshop 1-6 or Photoshop Elements 10-12. We’ll demonstrate how to use layers, the type tool, color backgrounds, and photos to create a card from scratch. Students will have time to create their own cards, ready to upload for printing. Service providers will be discussed and example cards will be available for ideas.

Supply List:
Students should bring digital photographic files of their or craft items and a laptop with Photoshop CS1-6 Standard, Extended or Academic or Photoshop Elements (PSE) 10, 11 or 12 already installed. A workflow will be demonstrated using Photoshop. Students should be able to run their laptop, open Photoshop (or PSE), open, save and close files in Photoshop.

Materials provided by teacher:
Basic Photoshop templates for business cards and postcards will be available for student use. Free.
