Type of Workshop: Project - students will complete one necklace
Prerequisite: 18 or older

Students will learn how to create crystallized strands of Viking Knit wire in a gradient pattern. In addition to the basic concept, each participant will learn which types and sizes of wire to work with, the addition of bead components (such as SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals and pearls, beads and organic shapes), finishing/capping of ends, creating coiled connections, length formulations and additional design patterns. Time permitting, the instructor will demonstrate the caged version of the technique. Students will received detailed instructions of the class project along with information on technique variations.

Materials fee of $35 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

Spooled wire

Choice from at least two, gradient color sets of Swarovski Elements crystals

Swarovski Elements accent pendant (crystal colors and accent pendant color/type may vary from sample photo)

Bail or connection wire

End caps/cones

Sterling silver plated chain

Sterling silver plated toggle clasp

Jump rings

Finishing wire

Flat nose (without grooves)
