    I know many acrylic painters that paint with only paint. You might say well, yeah, but they are missing the whole world of what all those wonderful gels and pastes do to your acrylics. You will save a bundle of money by learning how to paint with acrylic mediums. I will show you how to make your paint behave like oil or watercolor. Learn how to create wonderful textures, transparency or opacity and how to extend your paint. Acrylic mediums add a whole new world of depth and texture to your art, no matter what style painter you are. Don't be intimidated if you are not a painter, this is the perfect place to begin. So we have the textures, now we begin to layer and add transfers. I will show you how to begin with a transfer and how to finish with a transfer. We will keep it transparent so you will be able to see the first one and all the layers in between. Want a final satin looking finish or a glossy sheen, I will show you how to get them all with the acrylic mediums. Come and join the fun. This class will bring together techniques from all four of my books.

    Materials fee of $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
  • Panels to paint on
  • all acrylic mediums and gels
  • waterslide transfers and laser transfers
  • crackle mediums
  • glazing fluid and polymer medium
    and the use of Instructors:
  • materials
  • various texture tools and materials
  • images for transfers and stencils
  • some paints
  • a few interesting application tools
  • specialty papers and rollers
Students should bring:
  • container for water
  • a few of your favorite acrylic paints
  • cheap soft nylon brushes 1”
  • stepped handle palette knife
  • spray bottle of water
  • spray bottle or dropper bottle for alcohol
  • scissors
  • paper towels
  • and an adventurous spirit!
