Student Level:
All
Type of Workshop: Process although you should finish at least one piece

This class will guide you through the new territory we are going to take in the world of collage. We will create some fabulous original papers with patterns, textures and colors. These papers are translucent and very thin so they are excellent for collage. You will learn transfers using both laser and inkjet copies. You are also going to learn a wonderful way to be loose and free with your painting. You will learn how to unify a busy background, create space for a transfer and ways to shift color and create transparent collage elements. We will work with positive and negative space, composition, new methods to “glue” your collage together. We will cover final finishes, mounting and hanging.
