Type of Workshop: Project - Student who work quickly will be able to finish more than 1 vessel in class

 

 

Vessels are a great way to keep a prayer, make a wish, or leave a secret. Starting from scratch, you will learn to size and cut tubing for the perfect fit. Then you learn simple solder joints to embellish your vessel and make it your own. Additional materials and tools maybe purchased from instructor.

Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

  • copper and brass shapes
  • copper tubing
  • copper discs
  • sand paper

Supplies Provided by Instructor for use in class:

  • Fire tweezers
  • 5 torching stations, quenching bowls, fire bricks, pickle and pickle pot
  • Solder
  • metal daps and block
  • metal files
  • saws and blades

Students should bring:

  • Side Cutters
  • Round nose
  • Flat nose or chain nose
  • Ruler
  • Sharpie
  • Super grip gloves (optional)
  • Masking tape
  • Magnifying glasses and Ott light* as needed
  • *Extension cord for Ott light
