This is a 9 hour workshop beginning on Wednesday evening and continuing on Thursday.

Join Ruth Rae and Kristen Robinson on an exploration of etching, resin, metalsmithing, riveting, heat patinas, chain construction, flood soldering, clasps and closures design and more. In our two days together we will not only complete at least two projects but also share our tips and techniques for design while demystifying all fallacies regarding the etching process.

Techniques that will be taught are applicable to an array of jewelry projects as well as other mixed media creations. Day 1 we begin our resin journey; we will fill an array of open back bezels as well as objects students wish to bring to class (such as small metal findings etc), using a no fail method to do so. The second half of our day will be all about etching we will cover not only the proper process but also disposal and safety. Day 2 is all about construction & design.
