    Learn to build unique handmade felt components, utilizing several techniques and materials. Wool felt will provide the base for your creativity, along with needle felting and embroidery.

    The pieces shown have been converted into wearable pins. Your components can be worked into other jewelry directions as well as additions for mixed media projects. With the pieces in a smaller scale, several can be built in class, to embellish.

    Kit fee of $10 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

  • felting needles
  • foam base to felt into
  • a selection of 3-5 wool felt color blocks
  • 2-3 pin backs
  • a sample selection of roving

    Instructor will supply:
  • A detailed handout
  • extra felting needles
  • extra foam blocks
  • selections of wool felt color choices
  • extras of needles and thread colors, pin backs
  • templates for designs
  • marking tools
  • roving
    • Students should bring:

  • A selection of your favorite thread colors: embroidery floss, #8 pearl cottons
  • embroidery needle with large eye
  • any favorite colors in wool felt you may want to use( optional, as I will have lots of colors on hand)
  • any embellishment choices: buttons, beads, charms etc.
