Want to learn to draw and paint what you see? Want to learn the skills to create an illustrated journal page of your day, your garden, your trip? Spend the day drawing farmer's market finds in a relaxed and supportive environment. Jane will show you how to take the time to really look and draw what you see. Then she’ll demonstrate the use watercolors using a straight-forward, intuitive approach, how to mix color to capture that right shade of color to match nature as best you can. Your drawings will be as unique as your own handwriting. Jane will show you how to enhance your drawings with creative page layouts and journaling.

Students should bring:

  • 9x12 watercolor journal (I like Strathmore Visual Journal for watercolor 9x12”)
  • Watercolors. Small travel set. The Prang “Professi onal” (NOT washable) watercolor set- 8 colors works great
  • Niji Waterbrush, medium size or good quality, round, watercolor paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Black permanent ink pen, I recommend Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens superfine or fine
  • Fruits, veggies, flowers, plants that are or could come from a farmer’s market (we’ll share!)
